Homely
We didn't make bridge last night as we were still so tired come 8:00 pm so we decided to go this morning instead. Brisbane has their own Bridge Centre which was lovely. 16.5 tables so they split the room into 2 sections. We did well, 68.1% and surprisingly they are happy for us to come back! They were all really friendly and welcoming. The really weird thing was bidding. No bidding boxes, instead you have a pad in the centre of the table and you each write down your bid. If the bid your partner makes needs alerting you lean across the table and circle your partner's bid. When bidding stops you move the board on top so that you can't still see the bidding. Poor trees !! We were N/S.
After bridge we drove to IKEA. Another experience. Up the escalators we went only to find a huge furniture shopping centre. IKEA was through the other side and across the road eventhough the car park linked the two. I have never had a problem finding the entrance to IKEA before. Once inside all was good. We got all the boxes we needed to fit the boot of the car for our drive about next month.
We are delighted all the ground work done for our drive about around Queensland next month so when we get back from the West Coast we can have a nice relaxing week.
We loved the food court and boy was the Duck salad as well as the deep friend port/chicken rice tasty.
